1933-2024
Janice Carolyn Ennis was born in Muncie, Indiana in 1933. She was the middle child of Maxine and John Filson. Janice attended 10 different high schools growing up and finished high school in Richmond, CA. She then married Daniel Ennis in 1955 and lived in Hayward, CA for many years where they raised three daughters: Carolyn Danice, Gail Ann and Janie Cordelia. Janice was active in her church as a Sunday school teacher, church choir member, and wrote the monthly newsletter. She was excellent at sewing, knitting and crochet and made blankets and beanies for veterans.
She loved visiting National Parks.
In 1999 Janice moved to Cloverdale where she lived out her life. She enjoyed her early walks and all the grandchildren. She was the first resident at Vine Ridge. She then moved to Hanna House in Santa Rosa where she was able to complete her journey with love and acceptance.
Janice is survived by three daughters, their husbands, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
We will miss her wonderful laughter and smile.
