Many of our family members will be traveling. We have chosen to stay home, and lay low. Hopefully, things will improve, and it will be ok to have a small Christmas gathering. I am a people person. I’m a mom. I’m a teacher. I miss interactions with other people. It is definitely getting harder as the days go on. I look forward to a more “normal” 2021.

If we decide to do anything, it will most likely be just our little family. With a newborn during these days of COVID, we are not eager to change our social distancing. We miss our traditions and our family/friends, but want everyone to stay healthy! Hoping it is only 1 year!

We are staying home and will enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner and give thanks for what we have – food on our table – a home and happy to be living with my son and family. We will not forget the less fortunate and make a donation.

Being an essential worker in the grocery business and having to wear a mask 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week, we are thinking of visiting my husband’s family out in the woods near Mt. Lassen – It’s more country and we can feel “normal” again if just for a few days.

I really like Charlene’s idea of making a donation as a way of being thankful. I will do this in my (grown) kids’ names. We haven’t been able to visit, and this is the longest I’ve gone w/o seeing them. Trying to stay positive. I’ll still probably roast a turkey; yum!

Our family is going on a camping trip to get the heck outta dodge and away from politics and distance learning and the hussle and bustle of general 2020…. travel trailer and wide open spaces. Here we come
