Owner/Administrator, Kristi Shehan, found a need for a quality elderly facility in Cloverdale, where she grew up. When her own grandparents, long-time residents of Cloverdale, moved into an Assisted Living facility out of the area, she was disappointed by the type of care they were receiving, as well as the cost of the care.
Having worked in the medical field, she converted the home in which she grew up into a care facility to accommodate six residents. By catering to a small group, Kristi maintains a high standard of quality care and still keep it family oriented. The facility has been licensed since 2009 and has helped a variety of residents through-out the years.
“We are licensed for bedridden, dementia, hospice, and total care. I love our community and my vision grows! To connect our residents to our local community through various programming, combat loneliness, support our local community, and provide a holistic approach to care is my passion.”
The Villas Assisted Living has partnerships with a local preschool, exchanging interactive crafts between the children and seniors. This unique generational integration truly brings joy to the residents in care. Kristi has been working to implement a wonderful dietary program, featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables from local vendors as well. These are just a few highlights to the vision for The Villas as they continue to grow more opportunities to connect in ways that are genuinely rewarding.
