November is “gratitude month”. Many of us are fortunate to gather with family and friends for the holiday. We used to have a tradition at Thanksgiving dinner where we’d go around the table and each person, no matter what their age, would say what they were grateful for. Let’s bring that idea back and not just on one day, but each day this month – be grateful. Perhaps doing that will create a new daily habit where we look on the bright side instead of on what divides us.
Thank you to all who participated in the Pasta To Go fundraiser to benefit the Senior Center last month. The fantastic Pasta Pals from the Cloverdale Lions Club, led by Chef Ray, prepared the entire meal, and then we had Melanie, Anthony and Trish from the Senior Center, plus me, as runners to take food out to the waiting cars. We all had a fun time raising money.
So many positive events are happening in November and December. Let’s celebrate the good in our community!
See you around town!
