June Lorraine Ehrman, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, at the age of 95.
Born on June 8, 1931, in Healdsburg, California, June spent the latter part of her childhood in Hopland, where she often shared fond memories of attending high school in the small town. She loved reminiscing about adventures with friends, including climbing Duncan’s Peak, and those early years remained some of her favorite stories to tell.
June married Carl “Bob” Ehrman, and together they welcomed two daughters. After moving several times during the early years of their marriage, they eventually settled in Cloverdale in the early 1950s. Widowed in her early 30s, June demonstrated remarkable strength and determination as she raised her family on her own. Cloverdale remained her home for the rest of
her life.
She spent many years working at MGM Brakes, balancing the demands of work with the devotion she had for her family. Outside of work, June found her greatest joy outdoors. An avid gardener, she took pride in growing beautiful tomatoes, lemon cucumbers, zucchini, squash, asparagus and more, all in an effort to bring family together to share fresh food. Even in the later years of her life, as memory decline became part of her daily journey, she would often smile and say, “I’m really not a house person. I don’t like being in at all.”
When she wasn’t in the garden, June could often be found tending to her horses, dogs, and cats, relaxing on her porch surrounded by family and friends, or enthusiastically supporting from the sidelines at softball fields and gymnasiums as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren played sports. Known first as “Mom,” then “Gram,” she joyfully embraced the name “Mimi” after becoming a great-grandmother in 2001. Even at 89 years old, she was still attending games to support her great-grandchildren.
June is survived by her daughters, Cheri Ehrman and Terry Yanglin; her five grandchildren, Michelle Yanglin; Heidi Vlasak (Adam); Robert Prieskorn (Erin); Jenna Vinyard (Eric); and Chad Prieskorn (Linda). She also leaves behind 15 beloved great-grandchildren, including Tori, Jayden, and Rhea Russotti; Trinity, Shasta, and Kylee Vlasak; Inara and Luna Prieskorn; Lassen, Hadley, Brynn and Hunter Vinyard; Brooklyn, Bo and Blake Prieskorn, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.
A strong single mother for most of her adult life, June was fiercely independent, resilient, and wonderfully strong-willed. She often described herself as “a really independent boss,” and those who knew her would certainly agree. She will be lovingly remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her deep love for animals, her passion for gardening, and the unmistakable sass that made everyone smile.
Her legacy lives on in the family she raised, the gardens she grew, and the countless memories she created with those she loved most.
