Robert “Bob” Andersen, aged 89, of Cloverdale, CA, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born July 27, 1935, Bob was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Known for his generosity and kind heart, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Bob built a life of dedication and service, operating and owning Bob Andersen Excavating and Backhoe. He spent his free time working on community projects, hunting, and working on projects at his home. Bob was a family man and put his family’s needs before his own. Bob never knew a stranger because anyone he met was warmly greeted as if he had been friends with them
for years.

Whether working, cheering at his grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s games, spending time with friends and family, or sharing stories that made everyone laugh, Bob lived freely and fully and gave generously of his time and energy.

His is survived by his wife, Louise Andersen, his children, Clay (Chris), Robin (Jared), and his grandchildren Megan (Darren)
Olsen, Trevor Andersen, Neil (Ashley) Andersen, and Travis Vos, great grand-children Tristen, Riley, Landen, Kyler and Shyanne, who will remember him as a guiding light, source of strength and of unwavering love. Bob was preceded in death by father Charles Andersen and mother Ida Andersen (Costello), his sisters Catherine Lavoto and Meridith Andersen.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:30am at the Cloverdale Veterans Hall. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life and share cherished memories.

Bob will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, humor, generosity and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
